*NEW* Rule ALL characters will not have a Defence, Only certain characters that their powers would make them...more Durable, take for example Wolverine does not have a Defence, his powers make him heal, which in term make him durable, but he still feels pain and damage is still the same amount, it just heals faster.

1. Never use another person's character unless they gave you permission to use it. If you have permission, state it in an OOC comment at bottom  of your roleplay, to let the mod. know. An exception to this is moderators, who may move characters along who seem to have disappeared for a time to further their storyline/not leave people behind, or permission sought from mods to move characters that are holding up your own to a different location, or have them do a minor action, to free up your character for play (the handler will not receive EXP. for this.). Killing,  or anything otherwise altering a player character or named NPC (Non-Playable character; this is a character the Moderator controls for the sake of the story line) is not allowed without expressed approval. Named NPC are the property of the creator, with minimal license to move/control them given to the moderator in some cases, and it is their decision when these can be taken care of. Player characters are only allowed to be killed with approval of both moderator and administrator and the handler of the character

2. A moderator can, at any time, ban a handler or a character from their board, and they do not have to give a reason for these actions to the roleplayer

3. All roleplays are to be posted as new topics and separate threads. Never,  ever reply to a roleplay! This causes the post to be thrown to the top of the board and may throw off the time line. Doing this once may be taken as a mistake but repeat offences will result in a ban.

4. If dropping a Character to start a new one, you may transfer your old characters Bank account into your new character's bank account. ONLY money no EXP or Items, items will be auctioned off in the auction board.

5. The Xmen have already formed once before, the original members are  Cyclops,Jean Grey,Angel,Iceman,Beast. If you wish to play as any of them, you can start them out anywhere and anytime you just have to accept they were a part of the Xmen at one time.

6. Battles go on the battle boards. Do not post battles on the role-play board unless you are facing a self-made NPC without stats.

7. Any one item can only be upgraded a maximum of two times.

If you have any questions about battles after reading below, please feel free to ask any member of the support staff.

Battle Rules

Battling is inevitable in this game. Whether you are battling an event character, or you are battling a fellow member

1. Battle posts are done as threads. Unless you are starting an entirely new battle, reply to the existing battle topic with your post. Unlike the story board threads, you have to reply here in order to battle correctly. this is a very enjoyable aspect of this game, and as such is important. please feel free to read through some existing battles to get the idea.

2. You cannot stack more than one armor of one type.

This means is you cannot by two "chest armors" and equip them both, you cannot by two types of gauntlets and equip them both, etc.

....unless you have "symbiotic" armor, you can wear armor over top of that (this is the only exception)

3.  Your Str. points are not stacked onto your ability's damage unless stated in the ability description. (Example: If you 'Super Punch' with 20, and have a Str. of 5, you do not deal 25 damage, you just deal 20)

4.  Stats in a nutshell:

Hit points (HP) : This is the life counter of your character. While in battle each attack deals damage which takes away from this number, when this number reaches zero the character is KO'ed. (example: you attack a character with an attack power [see below] of 5, the character you are attacking has 200HP, they would now have 195HP. this does not factor Defense, which is explained below)

Attack (Atk) : The attack points of your character dictate the damage that can be dealt with a melee attack. (example: see above...)

Speed (Spd) : Speed dictates how many attacks a character can use per turn. You may combine attacks, meaning you can use powers and melee attacks. (see below)((CANNOT BE STACKED, ONCE A TURN IS OVER, ANY REMAINING ATTACKS ARE NULLIFIED, UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED IN A POWER.)

Defense (Def.) : Defense is how many points you subtract from damage dealt to a character when being attacked. (example: You attack a character with 5Atk, the character has a 3Def, and 200HP. you take your 5Atk and subtract 3Def, you only deal 2 points now, leaving 198HP.)

Mana Joules (MJ) : this is the amount of points for using powers (mutants, meta-humans, etc.) (example: You have 200MJ and attack a character with a special ability that uses 25 MJ, you now have 175MJ.)

5. You must allow your opponent a full 24 hours to respond. If they do not post in this time, you are allowed to move on and do another battle post. If you do not wait the full 24 hours, your own post is cheating and will be thrown out.

6. You cannot KO a opponent in your first attack, you must keep at least 1hit points in the first attack (Unless fighting a NPC)

7. After the battle(or after you have been KO'ed in  battle) Twenty four hours your Hp is fully replenished, while your MJ is fully Replenished once the  battle is over, Unless you have a healing factor in your Abilities list, then it is 8 hours. Once KO'ed, that character may not re-enter the battle)

8. You may never control your opponent in a battle. (example: you have your character punch another character in the eye... you may not have your opponents character cry, vomit, speak or react to this in anyway.  you may "punch him so hard he rockets into the wall behind him...")

The order of turns is Sinister, Cyclops, Gambit, then Mult. man, then it cycles around again.)

Again If you have any questions about battles after reading this, please feel free to ask any member of the support staff. And we encourage you to read some of the old battles just to get an Idea, it is much simpler than it sounds.

(Battle participants are assumed to know the rules. If you do not, don't fight. IT WILL BE DELETED, so please do not be afraid to ask questions.)

Here is an example of a battle post:
(the symbiote entered the battle with 180Hp 375Mj(Str:25Spd:4 Def:15); gambit with 800HP 200Mj (str: 25 Spd: 7 Def: 16 (his special power deals 40 damage and cost 40Mj for this example) )

Gambit didn't hesitate, he leapt out of the manhole and dove at the beast  punching it in the skull as hard as he could...

he managed to land 4 hits before falling to the ground. He reaches into this pocket and pulls out three cards and charges them, quickly throwing them into the monsters mouth. The cards exploding sending the monster backward.

Gambit: 800HP 80Mj (str: 25 Spd: 7 Def: 16) (reg. atk x 4, )

(So Gambit's attack dealt 25Atk – 15Def = 10 x 4Spd = 40HP.

This leaves Gambit with 3Spd. He uses his special ability 3 times:  ( 3Spd x 40MJ) – 200Mj = 80MJ. 40Atk(special ability's attack power)- 15Def=25 x 3Spd = 75

So Gambit has dealt 115HP Damage to the opponent, leaving them with 65HP)

Symbiote Monster: 65Hp 375Mj(Str:25 Spd:4 Def:15)
